Welcome to my blog!
Where do I start…? And what do I blog about? If you know me, you probably know that I am a very private person…so starting a blog, is kind of a big deal to me. So now you’re probably wondering why I’m doing this. I have really needed a change, something “new” and maybe even a life makeover…I also believe that leaving your comfort zone is necessary for self-improvement. I will just say that this blog WILL NOT be about me. Instead it will be about what brought me here and my journey towards a happier and healthier me.
I have never liked taking pills and I think some (SOME) can do more harm than good. I am on hormone replacement for my underactive thyroid (Hashimoto’s) and even though I need to take it, it doesn’t help with any of the symptoms that I have. After years of trying to understand why I felt the way I did and why this pill wasn’t doing anything except keep my doctor happy because of the “positive results” it showed on my blood test, I decided to find an answer. I started reading different books on how to help your thyroid naturally and how nutrition can cure diseases. I started reading about yoga and how it can help with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and so many other health issues. After reading and researching, trying and coming up with my own healthy recipes, starting yoga and regular exercise, I have realized that “yes, exercise can treat depression, yoga works great for anxiety and eating healthy can cure diseases.” I am still taking my pills for my thyroid because it’s necessary, but I am also doing things to support my thyroid and my well-being… and it has been one of the BEST things I have ever done.
I am currently taking courses to become a certified Holistic Health Coach and a certified Yoga teacher. I am also planning on finishing a Personal Trainer Course. Living balanced, emotionally, mentally, and physically has become a huge part of my life. It has had such a positive impact on me that I have decided to share my journey with others. I would love to support and guide you on your path to becoming a healthier version of yourself. It doesn’t matter if you want to lose a few pounds, you need advice on eating healthier, or you want to try yoga for depression or anxiety. Together we can work on a plan that works for you and I will give you the tools you need to live a happy and balanced life.
